Update: the Brampton Island resort closed for major renovation work in January 2011. It is being upgraded to a world-class standard boutique style resort, to offer guests the very finest in accommodation and facilities, and is expected to reopen in early 2012. In the meantime, plenty of resort accommodation is available in the Whitsunday Islands.

Getting to Brampton Island
Boat: you can reach the island comfortable by boat transfer from Mackay on the mainland. Mackay has daily flights from all Australian capital cities. The boat transfer takes about 80 minutes by catamaran, and provides some excellent photo opportunities along the way: you may even spot some dolphins or whales!
Air: There are daily scheduled flights from Mackay, with an approximate flight time of 20 minutes. It is also possible to arrange a charter aircraft from Hamilton Island.
